Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Assistant Manager - Product Environmental Compliance located in Coimbatore.
What a typical day look like:
Environmental Compliance is responsible for supporting the organization's global environmental compliance programs by ensuring products, materials, and manufacturing processes comply with applicable environmental regulations and customer requirements.
This role involves managing team members who are involved in collecting supplier compliance data collection, risk assessment, and reporting activities related to regulations such as RoHS, REACH, PFAS, TSCA, SCIP, IMDS, CMRT, EMRT, and other emerging environmental standards.
Monitor and interpret global environmental regulations and customer-specific compliance requirements. Assess the impact of new and revised regulations on products, materials, and business operations.Support implementation of compliance programs for regulations including:RoHS, REACH, SCIP, TSCA, PFAS, Proposition 65, IMDS/GADSL, IEC 62474, Conflict Minerals (CMRT) Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT)
Manage supplier outreach and compliance data collection activities.Review and validate supplier declarations, certificates, Full Material Declarations (FMD), and compliance reports.Drive closure of supplier compliance gaps and ensure timely responses.Maintain supplier compliance databases and documentation repositories.
Respond to customer environmental compliance inquiries and documentation requests.Prepare compliance reports, declarations, certificates, and executive summaries.Support customer audits and compliance reviews.Coordinate with commercial and program teams to address customer compliance requirements.
Evaluate product compliance status using BOM analysis and material declaration reviews.Identify non-compliant materials or products and recommend corrective actions.Conduct risk assessments for restricted substances and emerging regulations.Escalate compliance risks and support mitigation strategies.Support data accuracy, system enhancements, and process automation initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes and reporting efficiency.
Develop standardized workflows, templates, dashboards, and tracking mechanisms.Support automation initiatives to improve supplier communication and compliance reporting.Contribute to digital transformation projects related to environmental compliance.Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, Legal, and Sustainability teams.Provide guidance and training on environmental compliance requirements.Manage & Support Operation Projects.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Minimum 8+ years of experience in Product environmental compliance, People Management, Customer Handling and Project Management role as a in a Manufacturing set up, preferably in EMS industry
B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering / EEE / Electronics/BE /any equivalent graduation.
Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to engage effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Experience preparing executive-level summaries and compliance presentations.
