Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking for a Buyer located in Łódź, Poland.
Reporting to the Commodity Manager, the Buyer role involves contacting suppliers, as well as representing the company in the scope of commercial and operational arrangements.
What a typical day looks like:
- Valuation of new components and conducting price negotiations with suppliers,
- Escalation of topics at suppliers,
- Benchmarking and implementation of new suppliers,
- Participation in packaging exhibitions,
- Implementation of savings projects with suppliers,
- Preparing, conducting and finalizing tenders,
- Periodic assessments of suppliers and audits,
- Leading QBR or YBR meetings with key suppliers,
- Support for the process of introducing new projects from the purchasing side,
- Preparing and implementation of new processes.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Demonstrated prior experience in industries such as Packaging Design, Offset/Flexo Printing, Purchasing, Sourcing.
- Typically Bachelor/Master degree in the relevant field (such as Papermaking and Printing or Mechanical Engineering)
- A sound technical basis, technical understanding and experience with CAD tools
- Experience mainly with Box Design and Paper material properties (experience in working with Plastics and Pulps as well)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are must in English and Polish as well
- A good knowledge of Excel, Power Point and a talent for communicating and presenting
- Creative, team player, innovative mind mixed with analytical thinking and attention to detail.
