Job Summary

Join us at JetCool, a Flex company, to help bring cutting-edge cooling technology to market and shape the future of sustainable computing. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission-driven startup environment. In this role, you will make a real impact on energy efficiency and global datacenter infrastructure.

As a Compliance Regulatory Engineer/Specialist in Littleton, MA, you will be responsible for guiding our liquid cooling products through regulatory pathways—from concept to commercialization. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and legal teams to identify applicable standards, manage certifications, and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and performance regulations across global markets.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Identify and interpret relevant regulatory requirements for liquid cooling products at the processor, rack, and row levels.

  • Develop and execute compliance strategies for cold plates, all-in-one cooling systems, and CDUs.

  • Manage product certifications and approvals, including CE marking, UL listing, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and NEBS compliance.

  • Liaise with testing labs, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely approvals.

  • Maintain documentation and technical files required for regulatory submissions and audits.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure product designs meet applicable standards and safety requirements.

  • Monitor changes in global regulations and proactively assess impact on product roadmap and market access.

  • Support internal teams with regulatory guidance during design reviews, risk assessments, and product launches.

  • Assist in developing labeling, packaging, and documentation that meets regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Maintain awareness of OCP (Open Compute Project) standards, and work with internal teams to align product designs with OCP guidelines for datacenter hardware and cooling systems.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in hardware, fluid systems, or electronics cooling.

  • Familiarity with thermal systems, fluid handling components, and datacenter infrastructure.

  • Hands-on experience with CE and UL standards, including submission processes and technical requirements.

  • Working knowledge of WEEE compliance, including product lifecycle considerations and end-of-life management.

  • Understanding of NEBS requirements, including environmental, safety, and operational standards for telecom and datacenter equipment.

  • Awareness of OCP's role in shaping open standards for datacenter hardware, and ability to interpret and apply relevant specifications.

  • Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks for mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and a passion for solving complex regulatory challenges.

  • Experience working in a startup or early-stage hardware company is a plus.

  • Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, environmental regulations, and datacenter safety protocols is a plus.

  • Familiarity with liquid cooling components such as cold plates, quick disconnects, pumps, and CDUs is a plus.

What you'll receive for the great work you provide:

  • Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Life Insurance
  • Short-term and Long-term Disability
  • Matching 401(k) Contributions
  • Vacation and Paid Sick Time
