To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Consultant - IT located in Chennai location.

We are looking for a dynamic and technically proficient Consultant – IT role with experience in direct procurement in preferably manufacturing environments. This role is critical in implementing SaaS-based supply chain solutions that integrate seamlessly with ERP systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong development background, hands-on experience with direct procurement processes, and familiarity with manufacturing ERP platforms such as SAP, Infor LN, and BaaN.
 

Reporting to the Director, and the role involves:

What a typical day looks like:

  • Understand complex business requirements specific to direct procurement and manufacturing, and translate them into scalable technical designs and implementation strategies.

  • Leverage expertise in SaaS platforms to recommend best-fit configurations and solutions aligned with Direct Procurement, Forecasts, Purchase Order Collaboration, Advanced Shipping Notifications, Receipts, Invoices etc.

  • Develop detailed functional and technical specifications including process flows and business blueprints tailored to procurement workflows.

  • Configure SaaS-based supply chain solutions and collaborate with technical teams to implement integrations and customizations that support manufacturing operations.

  • Lead technical solution design and discussions with internal product and analytics teams, ensuring alignment with middleware's like WebMethods, EDI, cXML, and databases like Snowflake, Oracle, SQL etc. supporting ERP systems like SAP, Infor LN, or Baan.

  • Customize platform features to meet specific sourcing and procurement requirements within a manufacturing environment.

  • Conduct code and configuration reviews for peer developers, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.

  • Mentor junior team members in platform configuration and delivery best practices.

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, particularly those involving ERP-SaaS integrations and direct procurement flows.

  • Communicate technical concepts, implementation updates, and issue resolutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaborate across global, multicultural teams to support solution delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a technical developer or implementation role, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain.

  • Strong programming skills in Core Java, Groovy, Python, SQL; basic knowledge of Linux.

  • Experience with integration technologies such as APIs, XML, Web Services, and B2B protocols (EDI, XML).

  • Good understanding of SDLC, version control, and SVN practices.

  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps toolchains.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one SaaS supply chain or procurement platform specialized in direct procurement lifecycle processes.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Infor LN, and BaaN in a direct procurement or manufacturing context.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex troubleshooting and integration issues.

  • Solid understanding of implementation best practices in enterprise software.
