Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Material Quote Senior Engineer in Chennai, India

What a typical day looks like:

• Analyze customer RFQ and technical documents to extract relevant quote data
• Read and interpret Gerber files, Fab drawing , BOMS (bill of materials) and assembly drawings
• Analysis of PCB stack up, material , surface finishing , PCB process and manufacturing tolerances
• Calculate should cost of materials, fabrication  and assembly.
• Optimize panelization and process flows to reduce costs.
• Work closely with global commodity team to align suppliers with project requirements.
• Work with suppliers to ensure accurate quote and competitive pricing to support winning opportunities.
• Communicate lead time, pricing and technical queries to internal teams and customer

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field 
• Experience in PCB manufacturing, assembly processes, or electronic component sourcing with minimum 5-7 years working experience.
• Knowledge of PCB stack up, material, surface finishing etc and PCB process and manufacturing tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret Gerber files, Fab drawing, BOMS (bill of materials) and assembly drawings
• Understanding of yield, panelization and how they impact cost
• Knowledgeable about supplier's technological capabilities and pricing advantages,
• Understand of material cost trends, including copper, gold and laminate etc and other key raw material used in PCB fabrication.
• Strong attend to detail and analytical thinking
• Good communication skills for interacting with sales teams, engineers and suppliers.
• Time management and ability to handle multiple RFQ simultaneously
