Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Mechanical Engineer - Simulation based in Chennai location

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and execute FEA models for structural, thermal, and fatigue analysis of mechanical components.
  • Interpret design requirements and translate them into simulation objectives.
  • Validate simulation results against experimental data and ensure accuracy.
  • Optimize designs based on analysis outcomes to improve performance and reduce cost.
  • Prepare detailed reports and present findings to design and manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Engineering) to ensure product integrity.
  • Maintain simulation standards and best practices within the organization.
  • Prepare KPI Reports for Weekly / Monthly for operation review.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Preferably 4 to 6 years of experience in FEA using ANSYS
  • BE/B.Tech (EEE/ECE/E&I/Mechanical /Mechatronics) with desire years of experience.
  • Expertise in Material Nonlinearity (plasticity, hyper elasticity, creep) and Fatigue Analysis
  • Hands-on experience in Explicit Simulation for Sheet Metal Forming processes, including spring back prediction, thinning analysis, and failure modes
  • Sound knowledge in Vibration Simulations including Modal, Harmonic, Shock, and PSD analysis, in compliance with Automotive OEM Standards.
  • Strong knowledge in solver selection and solution techniques, ensuring accurate and efficient FEA results for complex simulations.
  • Ability to perform CAD geometry cleanup and work efficiently in FEA pre-processors
  • Knowledge of Coupled Field Simulations (e.g., thermal-structural, electro-thermal, and fluid-structure interactions) for multiphysics analysis.
  • Scripting skills for automation of repetitive tasks in FEA workflows using Python, or APDL, to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic startup environment
  • Work with other engineering team members to improve existing process.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills MANDATORY.
