To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Payroll Accountant located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager Sr., the Payroll Accountant, will oversee and coordinate various compensation-related activities to ensure that the organization's payroll is processed accurately and on time. 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Payroll accounting entries, severance payments, terminations, and employee benefits.
  • Recording and monitoring accruals (profit sharing, Christmas bonus, vacations, bonuses, etc.).
  • Preparation and validation of payroll journal entries.
  • Analysis and reconciliation of payroll-related general ledger accounts.
  • Preparation of financial reports and variance analysis.
  • Support month-end accounting closing activities.
  • Provide support to internal and external Finance stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Treasury, and Tax teams.
  • Reconciliation of payroll records against accounting records.
  • Reconciliation of accruals versus actual payments.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts versus payroll disbursements.
  • Reconciliation of payroll CFDIs (electronic tax receipts) against accounting records.
  • Variance analysis and identification of inconsistencies.
  • Identification and mitigation of tax, accounting, and operational risks. .
  • Monitoring of outstanding items and resolution of discrepancies.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in payroll accounting or account reconciliations.
  • Basic English proficiency preferred.
  • Experience in corporate environments or Shared Services Centers (SSC) preferred.

Must Have

  • General Accounting.
  • Payroll and accrual accounting.
  • Account reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of Mexican payroll tax regulations, including Income Tax (ISR) for salaries and wages from an accounting perspective.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, data analysis, and data reconciliation).
