To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineer 3 to our team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer 3 will play a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence through process optimization, yield improvement, quality enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to lead significant engineering projects, implement advanced manufacturing technologies, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational performance. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to solve complex manufacturing challenges while influencing process strategies that support business growth and customer satisfaction.
What a Typical Day Looks Like- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing quality, productivity, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency across production operations.
- Analyze manufacturing processes, identify root causes of performance issues, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, validate, and maintain robust process parameters, control plans, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Lead implementation of new equipment, technologies, and engineering change orders (ECOs), ensuring successful qualification and production readiness.
- Partner with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and customer teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce costs, and support new product introductions (NPI).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process control methodologies, problem-solving tools, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Experience leading root cause analysis investigations and implementing effective corrective actions in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage engineering projects, equipment qualifications, process validations, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, or similar process improvement tools.
- Ability to develop and maintain process documentation, technical reports, and manufacturing standards.
- Effective communication between various working groups and ability to draft SOP from onsite training from vendor/customer.
- Ability to interpret equipment issues and provide guidance to setup failure codes for better debugging and process tracking.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of engineering experience in the high-technology electronics manufacturing industry or a related field.
- Demonstrates advanced operational, technical, and process expertise with a thorough understanding of manufacturing systems and business processes.
- Knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment, electronic assembly processes, and process validation methodologies is preferred.
