Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineer – Mechanical Assemblies located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the Process Engineer – Mechanical Assemblies is responsible for developing, optimizing and sustaining mechanical assembly processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and reliability of operations. The person in this position will lead a technical or operational team, providing direction on work methods, improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge in fixture design and proper definition and validation of torque parameters in mechanical assembly is essential.
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop and improve mechanical assembly processes focusing on ergonomics, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Design and/or validate fixtures, tooling and assembly aids.
- Define, document, and validate torque parameters, fastening strategies, and torque tool setup.
- Lead and coordinate technical personnel, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Create and update work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, EHS, and Product Engineering.
- Support new product introduction, equipment installation, and line setup activities.
- Coordinate internal audits and compliance related to mechanical processes.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with mechanical assembly processes, torque applications, and fixture design/validation.
- Experience leading or supervising personnel (technicians and/or operators).
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, etc.).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Intermediate–advanced English level preferred.
- Strong Experience on efficient control.
- Availability to travel. (10% per year)
