To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Product Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Process Engineer Manager, the Product Engineer role involves responsible for receiving, evaluating, cleaning, and customizing all technical information / documentation from the customer related to their product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity.
What a typical day looks like:
- BOM's Management and Implementation.
- Engineering Change Management and Implementation.
- Definition of Manufacturing Process Routes.
- Technical Support to CFTs (Customer Work Teams).
- Management and Control of Drawings and Product Specifications.
- Leading work meetings.
- Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
- Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues – engineering changes, new model development.
- Suggest modification to work instructions, material or product changes to ensure superior quality of products.
- Participate to cost reduction activities in areas like material, inventory, and waste reduction.
- Provide training to technicians and develop better product knowledge.
- Leadership.
- Direct customer contact
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Engineering or bachelor's degree completed.
- Advanced English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience in similar position in electronic manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in NPI
- Experience in Product Lifecycle systems (Agile, Arena, Procom) and MRP System (SAP, Baan).
- Experience using Floor shop systems.
- Knowledge in personnel management experience in ECO´s implementation
- Knowledge in creating and reading BOMs.
- Leadership - Work team management experience.
