We are seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to join our team. The Production Support Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the production support activities of technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and applications, and providing support in multiple areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background (maintenance, and excellent leadership skills
What a typical day looks like:
- Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root-causes of equipment failures and develop hands-on troubleshooting skills of team
- Coordinate technical resources as needed to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation
- Oversee the day-to-day production support activities of technicians, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, problems, and service requests.
- Support team on technical issues, request additional resources as required
- Able to read, comprehend, and interpret complex instructions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure effective communication and coordination of support activities.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures to enhance system stability and reliability.
- Assist with equipment maintenance issues to minimizing downtime and impact on production systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance production support processes and tools.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Associate's Degree, military training, vocational or technical training, or equivalent experience.
- Must have 5+ years experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a regulated industry
- 3 years experience in a leadership role
- Experience in supporting of high-speed assembly systems (>20ppm)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Lean or Kaizen experience a plus
