Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Component Qualification Engineer located in Zhuhai.

What a typical day looks like::

  • Develop and implement a floorcare product component qualification strategy aligned with product development.
  • Create detailed component qualification plans that specify testing parameters, sample sizes, and acceptance criteria for various types of components (electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, materials).
  • Coordinate testing activities with internal lab, external testing facilities.
  • Work closely with component suppliers to ensure they understand and meet qualification requirements, repeatability standards,
  • Conduct on-site audits and assessments of supplier quality systems and manufacturing processes as needed.
  • Perform and lead failure analysis investigations of components that do not meet qualification requirements, to determine root causes.

The experience we're looking to add to our team::

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in component qualification, reliability engineering, or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment. Experience with consumer electronics or appliances is highly preferred. Floorcare product experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of various types of components (electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, materials) and their applications. Experience in developing and executing component qualification tests.
  • Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and failure modes relevant to floorcare products and components.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of failures and develop effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Proven ability to work and develop relationships with suppliers, and drive quality and delivery requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
