Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer located in Suzhou Wuzhong.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in design of methos of failure analysis, testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
  • Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, telemeter and record test data.
  • Directs and coordinate the strategies of debug the failure product  of the test process.
  • Determines conditions and procedures under which the technicians are to be conducted and Indicators and phases of Debug Process.
  • Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing  and troubleshooting problems such as failures of product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, Failure Analysis Reports, new solutions, obsolete components data interpretation or coding issues.
  • Analyzes and interprets Failures data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
  • Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
  • Trains and instructs floor support, debug technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, failures solutions as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
  • Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
  • Analyzes circuits and topologies to identify marginal issues or compatibility issues between components
  • Yield trend and pareto analysis to identify epidemic failures that required deeper analysis
  • Develops and monitoring the efficacy and efficiency metrics to improve diagnostic process
  • Provides technical documentation and tools for diagnostic purpose
  • Impacts the near-term (quarterly/semi-annual) operational success of the function. Creates functional processes or technologies. Executes functional strategic plans and objectives at the site. Demonstrates experience in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • College's Degree or above in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
  • At least 6 years of experience in test or Failure analysis engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
  • Ability to advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • With expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of related business.
  • With knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations
  • Experience in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives
  • Experience in team management.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & interpersonal skills.
  • Good English at writing and reading, good oral English is a plus.
