At Motion Controls International (MCi), a Flex company, we are global leaders in mirror glass and power-folding actuators. For over 60 years, we have dedicated our skills and expertise to developing and mass-producing actuators. As we expand our portfolio into cutting-edge automotive actuation solutions—such as Active Aerodynamics and Motor Cooling Management—we seek a Senior Industrial Software Engineer to join our team in Woerden, Netherlands. This role is open to internal and external candidates and is part of the Process Engineering team.

What a typical day looks like:

The Sr. Industrial Software Engineer will be an integral part of a dynamic and collaborative process engineering team, responsible for:

• Designing and implementing PC and PLC software for assembly and test equipment.
• Developing algorithms for data analysis in assembly processes and test results.
• Be part or the software development team for future mass production assembly processes.
• Advising on control applications for high-volume, high-quality assembly processes.
• Representing MCi as a technology expert in industrial software and electronics.

What we're looking to add to our team:

We seek a highly skilled professional driven by a learning and development mindset, with expertise in:

• PLC programming – strong knowledge of automation software.
• Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or experience in an automotive software environment.
• HMI development – visualization of assembly processes.
• Strong Dutch and English communication skills – written and verbal;
• Knowledge of automotive quality systems (IATF, VDA, ISO 14001).
• Experience with high-volume, high-precision assembly & test processes.
• Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 international programming standards.
