Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a General Manager located in Fontana, CA
Reporting to the VP Operations, the Site General Manager plans, directs, and controls all manufacturing activities within the company. Coordinates operating activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards and cost goals. Additional duties involve the estimation of manufacturing capacity, production and materials control, warehousing and site facilities, maintenance, industrial engineering and other manufacturing activities.
What a typical day looks like:
Lead and direct site operations to drive business growth and achieve profitability, operational excellence and strategic objectives in alignment with the company's vision and mission.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and business skills effective at all organizational levels.
Manage day to day operations through hands-on leadership, regular floor walks and provide direct feedback.
Manage various functions, including Operations, Planning, Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, Safety and Facilities.
Coordinate with all support departments to ensure schedules remain on track and proactively resolve potential roadblocks.
The experience we're looking to add to our team,
Bachelor's degree in engineering or operational management with an MBA is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, including senior management and executive-level roles.
Direct, proven experience managing P&L and budget at a project level and driving OP growth.
Proven record of enhancing operational efficiency through improvements in inventory turns, quality, delivery, performance, cycle times and cost management.
Able to explain complex data targets simply to front line staff and executive leadership alike.
Certified or experienced in Continuous improvement framework to drive operational excellence.
Demonstrated understanding of project management principles, methodologies and best practices.
High proficiency with ERP software and business intelligence tools.
Highly organized and values tactical results and continuous progress
