We invite you to apply to join a leader in the fluid power industry as a CNC Machinist / Programmer and enjoy company stability, set hours, competitive pay and great benefits. As a CNC Machinist / Programmer for Fluid Power Sales you will machine small, medium & large components for hydraulic cylinders, make drawings of components, This will involve working from damaged/broken/worn parts to obtain the correct dimensions, working from drawings, prints, schematics, diagrams, bill of materials, customer specifications, written and verbal instructions to plan, layout and determine methods, materials operational sequences and the like for the building and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and assemblies.
Expectations
Develop project documentation (Routing) and machine code using various applications including MaterCam, VeriCut, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office products
Troubleshoot program and machining problems, advise as necessary
Work with peers to maintain production schedules
Document and maintain tool inventory
Work with management to develop best practices, continuous improvement activities, work holding and tooling
Communicate with supervisor if any direction is unclear
Set Up machining centers according to standard work instructions (Routing)
Produce in tolerance set up pieces
Follow temporary manufacturing deviation request (TMDR) procedure when changes are required
De commission machine after operation
Build / tear down tooling as needed
Inspect tooling for wear, advise supervision as necessary
Maintain tool crib organization and cleanliness
Load parts on machine according to standard work instructions
Use best practice and standard operating procedure (SOP) as trained
Inspect parts according to standard work instructions
Use in process inspection methods to verify non-conforming material
Stop machine and notify supervisor when non-conforming material is detected. Tag material with defect description
Sort and contain all additional non-conforming material according to SOP
Work with peers as directed by supervisor
Deburr parts according to standard work instructions
Produce desired results and visually inspect for abnormal conditions
Work in a team environment to achieve production goals
Run/clean multiple machines as directed
Work with peers as directed by supervisor to achieve all production goals as stated above
Requirements
Equivalent to one to three years trades training.
Over three and up to twelve months experience.
High School Diploma or GED
In accordance with applicable wage transparency law requirements, the typical estimated total compensation for this position is $24-$35/hour depending on experience, including potential bonus opportunities. Bonus amounts can be tied to company, location and/or individual performance, but no specific amount is guaranteed. All full-time associates are eligible for typical employment benefits expected from an industry leader (including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, life insurance, time off, employee assistance, etc.).
