Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee our dynamic team dedicated to driving excellence in the Industrial and Defense market segments. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements within the defense industry.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions for Industrial and Defense customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company goals.
  • Present complex information clearly and persuasively to inform and influence key decisions, while ensuring effective communication with management to address team needs collaboratively.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Interface with defense customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, with a focus on confidentiality and security protocols specific to the defense industry.
  • Analyze technology trends, resource requirements, and market demands to assess project feasibility and optimize engineering processes.
  • Recommend and implement new policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and control department budgets, forecast operating costs and direct budget requests in alignment with company goals.
  • Administer HR functions, including recruiting, training, performance evaluations, and salary adjustments.
  • Display an ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement, making an effort to acquire new knowledge or skills associated with the job responsibilities.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering management, showcasing demonstrated leadership abilities in managing and developing teams, are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are US citizens or hold a current security clearance, as well as those with defense industry experience, offering valuable insight into regulations, protocols, and customer expectations within the sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in shock absorber or suspension product design and manufacturing processes is highly desired.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience adhering to ISO 9001 or AS 9100 D is advantageous, demonstrating a commitment to quality management systems and ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Majority of time will be spent in an office environment sitting for long periods of time.
  • Vision abilities required to enter data on a computer.

Compensation Range $116,604 - $171,020

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Fox reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
