Description

We are seeking an entry-level Contracts Assistant to join our team in support of Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) government contracts within the law enforcement community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract management, negotiation, and compliance, with a focus on federal contracting regulations and best practices. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Support business development activities that include market research, business analysis solicitation tracking of recompete and new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate the development, consolidation, and formatting of proposal artifacts, serving as a liaison between line operations, corporate and third-party supporting resources.
  • Provide procurement support to include the preparation and processing of purchase requests, purchase orders, or other Costpoint required entries.
  • Maintain and update vendor management records to ensure timely creation, accuracy, and proper classification of active and inactive statuses.
  • Perform routine data entry of key vendor and contractual information in ERP or company databases.
  • Provides general-purpose administrative and clerical support to technical and management level personnel.
  • Provides documentation planning and support, project administration, etc., as required.
  • Prepare routine documents by following company processes and procedures.
  • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Coordinates communication between various departments, distributes reports and keeps all parties informed.


Requirements

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED with 2-4 years' of work experience or an undergraduate degree in business, finance or related field with 0-2 years experience.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and able to read and follow directions
  • Highly organized: able to prioritize and complete simultaneous tasks.
  • Ability to grasp and understand the organization and functions of the Contracts & Procurement Department.
  • Proven commitment and competence to provide excellent customer service; positive and flexible.
  • Strong computer proficiency, with demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook, other common software applications.
