  • Keep and maintain electronic and hard copy files
  • Provide organizational and management of data files
  • Review data (completeness of information, proper execution)
  • Track prosecutors' calendars to ensure deadline are appropriately calendarized
  • Assist in the production of discoveries
  • Filing of simple motions
  • Conduct research and obtain additional information related to specific cases
  • Perform editing and reformatting of written and electronic draft documents
  • Provide word processing and data entry/retrieval
  • Type correspondence using word processing software
  • Type a variety of forms
  • Schedule appointments
  • Enter and retrieve data into data bases
  • Perform online data update and verification of existing records
  • Ability to review and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Ability to establish case/project files


Requirements

  • Four-year undergraduate degree required
  • Attention to detail and the ability to read and follow directions
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to analyze documents to extract selected information
  • Skill in operating a personal computer, scanner, or other automated office equipment.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English is required.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish is preferred but not required.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.   Agency Overview The United States Attorney's Office (USAO) serves as the nation's principal litigators under the direction of the Attorney General.
