Description

The Lead Security Specialist is the face of our corporate campus and will be responsible for providing a welcoming, safe, and secure environment for our Harbor Freight Corporate Campus. This role provides physical security, access control, and initiates/responds to emergency response protocols to ensure a safe and secure environment for our Associates, vendors, and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates in the administration and coordination of one or more security programs/activities to ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.   
  • Prepares and submits security audit documentation to immediate supervisor.       
  • Identifies security program issues and implements corrective actions as directed.       
  • Reviews security program requirements for efficiency and standardization.    
  • Participates in preparation of security proposals and planning and preparations of new security programs.        
  • Organizes, coordinates, executes, required security procedures to achieve stated security goals.          
  • Investigates security incidents.      
  • Patrols assigned post and reports on possible unusual activity.      
  • Investigates and reports maintenance and safety conditions which might endanger its associates, guests, or public safety.        
  • Ensures that daily administrative documentation is always kept concise and complete; maintains all daily assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition.          
  • Responsible for ensuring that all employees on company property have proper company issued identification.         
  • Administers the data entry of the Companies Access Control Systems (CCURE).
  • Responsible for monitoring CCTV system and reporting any service issues to corporate loss prevention manager.        
  • Enforces the safety of the property by making sure there is no unauthorized loitering or engagement of hazard actions.       
  • Creates incident reports and sends them to corporate loss prevention manager during any event, including security breach, faults in security protection systems, vehicle accidents, safety accidents.           
  • Supervises the inspection of all card access doors for proper function, creates incident report if needed and forwards to corporate loss prevention manager.            
  • Position will require daily on-site presence.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $52,900 – $79,200 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term, long-term disability and car allowance. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 200 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

Years of Experience
  • Education and/or Experience - Minimum of 3 years in building security or hospitality in an office/hotel environment
