Description

Provide administrative support to the tax department.  Work on special projects as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mailing and copying tax returns.
  • Maintaining tax return files.
  • Prepare miscellaneous excise tax returns.
  • Prepare and organize documentation for sales tax audits.
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Assist with month end account reconciliation.

Requirements

Job Qualifications – Education and Experience
  • High School diploma
  • 3 – 5 years' experience in a tax or accounting position.
  • Some experience with computerized accounting and tax software.
  • Certifications - NO
  • Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills.
Physical Requirements
General office environment requiring ability to:
  • stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time
  • speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
  • use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
  • lift up to 15 lbs.
Level of language needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties
  • Must be able to speak and read English
