This position is responsible for developing reports based on a number of internal/external databases using SAS or a similar programming language; reporting includes pricing models for network negotiations and fee schedule updates used for claims adjudication; validating and researching report results using the original operation systems and the reporting databases; and presenting reports to internal/external customers and responds to follow up questions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business OR Health Care with 2 years data analysis experience in a health care environment OR 4 years experience in data analysis in a health care environment.
  • Analytical skills and programming experience.
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-year experience in healthcare contract pricing implementation and/or healthcare reimbursement
  • Knowledge of provider reimbursement methodologies including but not limited to: RBRVS, APC and DRG programs
  • Knowledge of coding practices including CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, Revenue Code, and DRG
  • Project management experience and/or audit experience. Technical documentation skills.
  • Flexibility to meet deadlines in an environment of constantly changing priorities and workloads.
  • Verbal and written communications skills including interpersonal skills to work across the organization to resolve problems, responding to inquiries, compose procedure manuals and training materials, and to discuss business and technical aspects with all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of both mainframe and windows-based applications.
  • Experience in BlueChip, Vistar, Salesforce, Terminal Emulator, Claims GUI, Premier Pricing, and/or Premier Provider.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote weekly.
