Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uses hand tools, power tools, punch press, and other tools to shape and join a variety of sheet metal materials, including aluminum and stainless steel
- Able to check parts to engineering drawings using precision measuring equipment
- Accurately reports shop floor production data via computer terminal and/or written reporting
- Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
- Performs cycle counting of parts and material handling duties as directed by Lead/Supervisor
- Adheres to all quality and safety standards
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years industry experience preferred
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- Experience of small power tools, other hand tools and computerized and high-pressure equipment
- Ability to operate a fork lift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead with arms and sit or stand for several hours as a time
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per plant rules
