Description

Our Kansas City studio is seeking a Design Professional to join our Sports + Recreation + Entertainment team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the project team to solve design challenges, assist with overall effort of completing various project phases and make an impact with meaningful projects.    RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, and details using Building Information Modeling (BIM). Assist in developing creative and technical design solutions following established standards.  Incorporate integrated sustainable design strategies into project work.  With direction from the project designer or more senior design professionals, develop, modify and/or review drawings ensuring the incorporation of design intent.  Collaborate with team members to help keep projects on schedule. Assist in project scope development, planning, and service-related tasks. Translate planning concepts into clear, understandable materials designers, project team members and clients.   Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' program requirements, design standards and policies.   Create 2D and 3D presentation, design drawings and models for project team and client review.  Compile data and perform elementary design computations. Perform product research; assist project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research. Assure HOK document standards are met and archive documents appropriately.  Provide support with construction administration document management.  Occasionally mentor or guide the work of intern staff.  Contribute to a sustainable, environmentally responsible workplace.  Demonstrate a strong commitment to both internal and external client service.   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Architecture required 0 to 3 years of experience; or equivalent in appropriate education and experience required.  Strong communication skills and willingness to learn, contribute and grow alongside a collaborative team.  LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.    #LI-CN1
