HOK is seeking a Project Manager to join our Sports + Recreation + Entertainment team in our Kansas City studio. This role is ideal for a collaborative and client-focused professional who is passionate about delivering innovative, high-profile projects that shape communities and create memorable experiences. As a Project Manager, you will partner with Project Architects, Project Designers, consultants, and clients to lead projects through all phases of design and construction. You will be responsible for project planning, financial performance, team coordination, client communication, and successful project delivery while maintaining HOK's commitment to design excellence and technical quality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership & Project Delivery Lead one or more Sports + Recreation + Entertainment projects from concept through completion. Foster strong collaboration with project teams, consultants, and clients. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and deliverables. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with design intent. Utilize Deltek Project Management tools to manage project financials, staffing, work plans, and change management. Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. Support quality management and sustainable design integration throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor construction administration activities during the construction phase. Client Engagement Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the duration of projects. Serve as a key point of contact for project communication and coordination. Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations. Guide discussions regarding design goals, project requirements, schedules, and budgets. Business Development Support marketing and business development efforts for the Sports + Recreation + Entertainment practice. Participate in client development activities and proposal preparation. Identify opportunities for new work and help strengthen existing client partnerships. Team Leadership Mentor and support the professional development of project team members. Help define staffing needs and support recruiting efforts as needed. Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience required. Master's degree preferred. 5 years' experience in architectural practice with management experience in all phases of projects through post-occupancy. Licensed Architect with current registration in your region preferred. NCARB registration preferred. LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred. #LI-CN1
