Holyoke Medical Center (HMC) is an independent community hospital serving individuals and families throughout the cities and towns of the Pioneer Valley.# HMC is a full-service hospital that provides a complete line of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services. Our Radiology team is seeking a Radiologist Assistant to provide primary radiology health care under the direct supervision and oversight of the attending radiologist. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Engages in fluoroscopic guided Upper GI series, Hysterosalpingography, ERCP, LPs, Myelography, VCUG, and Barium procedures. Performs fluoroscopically guided arthrograms and joint injections. Performs ultrasound and CT guided paracentesis and thoracentesis. May assist in the performance of non-endovascular imaging and guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including but not limited to drainages, biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture and myelography. Exercises autonomy in decision making with regards to patient assessment, patient management and in providing a broad range of radiology diagnostic and interventional services. Assesses and evaluates the physiologic and psychological responsiveness of each patient. Obtain patient consent for procedures. Administers intravenous medications or contrast media, under the supervision of a certified radiologist. Performs fluoroscopic procedures, both dynamic and static. Performs specialized imaging procedures under the supervision of a certified radiologist. Protocols imaging studies. Issues critical results dictated by the attending radiologist. Performs other work related duties as assigned or requested.
