Entry Level Maintenance Tech
First Shift: Monday- Friday 8 AM-4 PM must be able to work up to 10 hours OT weekly
$25-28/hour
Description of the Position:
The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and minor building repairs. Will follow corporate and site- specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility.
- Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and vehicle engines and repairing the same
- Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions
- Proficient in computer maintenance management systems. (CMMS)
- Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted
- Proficient in completing preventative maintenance tasks to standard.
- Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority.
- Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical/mechanical units to the supervising manager.
- Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same.
- Appropriately using and handling all electrical/mechanical repair and testing tools and equipment
- Light building maintenance repairs. Changing bulbs, painting, caulking,etc

Qualifications
- Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
- Sound understanding of using all electrical/mechanical testing and repair of Material Handling equipment.
- Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Should follow oral or written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
- High speed Automation line experience electrical/mechanical.
- PLC/HMI-experience.
