Entry Level Maintenance Tech


First Shift: Monday- Friday 8 AM-4 PM must be able to work up to 10 hours OT weekly


$25-28/hour


 


Description of the Position:


The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and minor building repairs. Will follow corporate and site- specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.


Responsibilities:



  •  Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility.



  • Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and vehicle engines and repairing the same

  • Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions

  • Proficient in computer maintenance management systems. (CMMS)



  • Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted

  • Proficient in completing preventative maintenance tasks to standard.

  • Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority. 

  • Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical/mechanical units to the supervising manager.

  • Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same.

  • Appropriately using and handling all electrical/mechanical repair and testing tools and equipment

  • Light building maintenance repairs. Changing bulbs, painting, caulking,etc

Qualifications

  • Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of using all electrical/mechanical testing and repair of Material Handling equipment.
  • Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Should follow oral or written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
  • High speed Automation line experience electrical/mechanical.
  • PLC/HMI-experience.
