Position Overview:


The Manager, Safety Training plays a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture across our organization. This individual will lead safety training during new hire orientations, conduct ongoing OSHA compliance training, and deliver forklift and MHE training programs. Additionally, this role supports the administration of our training management system and helps ensure new associates develop both the technical skills and safety awareness required for success in a warehouse environment. The Manager will adhere to all corporate and site-specific safety practices, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and support compliance efforts through regular observation and reporting.


 


Location: Ellenwood, GA


Work Schedule: Monday - Fridays 8:00Am to 5:00 PM (Depending on business needs) 


Travel Specifics: 25%


Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $95,000-$120,000 plus a performance-based bonus


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation programs across multiple company locations

  • Conduct and certify forklift/MHE training for new hires and current associates

  • Train and certify site-level MHE trainers as needed

  • Support remote facilities by traveling to provide on-site training and evaluations

  • Oversee new hire integration through follow-up discussions, coaching, and progress evaluation

  • Administer the training management system, including data recording, auditing, and reporting

  • Assist in the development and rollout of new training materials, tools, and programs

  • Observe and provide feedback to new hires to ensure effective acclimation to safety protocols and MHE operation

  • Conduct periodic site visits to audit forklift practices and promote safe behavior

  • Deliver refresher or remedial training as necessary to maintain compliance and performance standards

  • Enforce and monitor adherence to all company safety policies and GMP standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational safety goal

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 5+ years if hands on experience with in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, put away, picking, shipping, and inventory control
  • Hands-on experience operating various types of MHE (e.g., sit-down forklift, reach truck, pallet jack)
  • Familiarity with RF scanning systems and warehouse technology
  • Prior experience training or mentoring in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, inspire teams, and communicate safety expectations effectively.
