The Sr. Operations Manager has full responsibility at the site over building operations. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient warehousing, distribution, and packaging operations in accordance with company and customer requirements. This position involves a high level of customer interaction and is accountable for driving profitability and productivity while maintaining high quality standards. The Sr. Operations Manager is also responsible for promoting a safe environment and monitoring compliance with safety procedures. They are responsible for ensuring safety is the number one priority. Work Schedule: 8A-5P and other hours as needed. Must be flexible to work weekends as needed.
Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary minimum of $100-130k plus a bonus opportunity. Key Responsibilities:
• Manages a team of 8 direct reports, including 4 operations managers and 4 area managers.
• Accountable for ensuring training is completed and records are maintained for a variety of needs, including OSHA, customer, and other audits.
• Accomplishes site objectives by managing staff and planning and evaluating department activities.
• Manages key operational requirements within the budget and according to customers’ requirements.
• Understands inputs for P&L and customer contracts to assist the manager in preparing operating budgets and to manage workforce planning.
• Ability to create and maintain a strong working relationship with customers and respond timely and appropriately within verbal and written communications.
• Facilitates the maintenance of facility and operational equipment, including preventative maintenance.
• Prepares Excel quantitative reports as needed.
• Oversight and direct handling of performance reviews, complaints and associate concerns, productivity management, quality of work, and counseling.
• Develops work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels—managing labor costs, overtime, and retention.
• Implements and oversees cross-training for associates as needed to maximize associate effectiveness.
• Drives KPI improvements weekly and makes recommendations for efficiency improvements to both processes and associate performance.
• Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and correct noncompliance when observed.
• Follow company corporate and site-specific safety policies and procedures, and correct noncompliance when observed.
• Partners directly with onsite customer representative.

Qualifications
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field a plus; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Two years min. experience managing P&L
-
Two years experience with 3PL client interface
-
Five years of management experience in a distribution/warehouse environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required, as is proficiency with MS Office.

Must have good knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory statutes governing warehouse operations.

Ability to problem solve in an ambiguous environment.

Ability to work in a varied, fast-paced environment.

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the operation's needs.

Ability to standardize functions and deploy SOPs and tools to sustain an organization's work environment for associates.
