Description
• Supports and trains newly hired forklift operators within their area of responsibility. • Assists supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning, and directing work • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards. • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas. • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped. • Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments. • Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.). • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
