The Cardiac Observation Unit (1 West) at Loudoun Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Full-Time, Nights. The Cardiac Observation Unit is a 14-bed unit and functions as an extension of the Cath Lab. The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Sign-On/Relocation Bonus Information: This position is eligible for a competitive Sign-On Bonus. Candidates who are relocating 50 miles or further are also eligible for relocation assistance.
Schedule: Full-Time, Nights (3- 12 hour shifts)
Requirements: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 12 months (1 year) of start date. BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required.
Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
- Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 1 year from date of hire.
- Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90-days of employment
