Accounts Receivable Technician
Intertek is searching for an Accounts Receivable Technician to join our SAI team in our Mississauga, Ontario office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Finance!
The Accounts Receivable Technician is responsible for billing and maintenance of customer accounts to ensure timely revenue collection.
What you'll do:
• Create invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
• Maintain and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
• Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the
collections team and other staff.
• Provide timely customer service in regard to invoicing, pricing and other queries
• Assist in reconciling Phoenix billing to operational (iEnable) back-end systems.
• Maintain AR records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied,
uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
• Prepare analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how
invoicing efforts are progressing.
• Support other accounting and finance team members, as well as operations counterparts.
What it takes to be successful in this role:
• Previous experience in a similar position
• Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Technically adept with intermediate skills in MS O-ice Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word);
experience with ERP systems is preferred, or other Microsoft-based systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to process a high volume of transactions/ emails.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies and work with a high
degree of accuracy with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in the work
environment.
• Ability to follow and understand processes and controls.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with internal and
external audiences
Salary & Benefits Information
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $58,000 per year. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
