What are we looking for?

The Associate Director is responsible for providing scientific leadership, managing complex projects, and ensuring that reports are completed on time and within budget. They also develop and maintain strong client relationships, oversee team performance, and ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base annual salary range for this position is $110,000 USD - $135,000 USD. Eligibility for a bonus program may also apply. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage complex scientific studies, providing direction on data analysis and interpretation.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor project work plans, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide performance feedback to staff, including Associates and Managers.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term business relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying new opportunities.
  • Provide scientific expertise, staying updated on relevant literature and regulations in the field of toxicology and related areas.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues in project scope, ensuring smooth and effective project execution.
  • Administer and manage project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics to meet client expectations.
  • Promote company interests through strong negotiation skills, addressing conflicts and resolving operational issues.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and contribute to business development efforts to drive growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and ethical guidelines across all projects.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • PhD with over 15 years of experience, or MSc with over 20 years of experience.
  • Developed scientific expertise in toxicology or related fields, capable of analyzing most standard studies in the area.
  • Additional specialized knowledge in specific areas of toxicology (e.g., molecular toxicology, physiology, metabolism, pharmacology, etc.).
  • Ability to travel at least 5% of the time
  • Ability and enthusiasm to manage 10-20 direct reports (Associate and Manager level)
  • This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
