Employee Services Assistant
Intertek is searching for an Employee Services Assistant to join our HR Department team based from our Arlington Heights, IL office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the HR Department!
The Employee Service Assistant is responsible for assisting with the processing of payroll for multiple legal entities using ADP Vantage and Fusion HCM.

What you'll do:
- Assists with the processing of new hires, employee data changes, and terminations in the HRIS and payroll systems
- Assists with entering payable items or corrections into bi-weekly payroll batches
- Process payroll, import time files data and ensure payroll is processed within established timeframes
- Review payroll reports to provide feedback to Sr. Employee Services Lead for corrections or changes before payroll is processed
- Validates data is accurate in both HRIS and payroll systems
- Assist with reporting needed for audits
- Provide payroll information by communicating with employees to resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and accurately
- Assist with acquisitions and payroll transitions
- Set up new state and local taxing authorities not previously set up
- Completes various wage requests
- Assist with worker's compensation reporting as needed
- Processes check adjustments, voids, manual check updates, reissues, overpayments and other irregular payroll transactions
- Serves as back up to other team members
- Comply with all Intertek company policies and procedures
- Complete other projects and special assignments are requested
- Provide other general administrative support to the department as needed
What it takes to be successful in this role:·
- Requires High School Diploma.
- Requires a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant payroll experience in a multi-State environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Require at least 1 year of experience working with ADP
- Demonstrated confidentiality for data integrity
- Must be highly organized and effectively manage multiple items at the same time
- Must be customer service focused to go above and beyond to resolve issues or come up with creative solutions to prevent employee data issues from arising.
