What are we looking for?

The Front-End Developer role within the Digital team at Intertek is responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions that enhance the user experience and ensure efficient, scalable front-end applications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about modern web technologies, with a focus on building responsive and accessible user interfaces. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop features, integrate services, and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including architecture, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

What you'll do:

• Design and develop user-friendly, responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
• Build, optimize, and maintain high-performance front-end applications for scalability and accessibility. 
• Create and integrate server-side components and APIs using .NET, C#, SQL, and cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure. 
• Work within a modern web architecture, ensuring clean separation of concerns between front-end and back-end systems. 
• Integrate third-party systems, services, and APIs into front-end applications. 
• Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure functionality, performance, and security of developed features. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketing managers, and other developers. 
• Communicate effectively to understand business and user requirements and provide technical solutions. 
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and better data management.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in front-end or full-stack development, ideally with experience in scalable web applications 
• Strong front-end development skills, including: 
  • JavaScript / ReactJS 
  • HTML / CSS 
  • .NET Core / .NET Framework 
  • ASP.NET MVC 
  • SQL 
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure 
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and investigative skills 
• Experience with web performance, optimization, and accessibility best practices 
• Ability to work independently while being highly collaborative with cross-functional teams 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with modern content management systems (CMS) 
• Knowledge of headless architectures (e.g., using APIs for content delivery or decoupled systems) 
• Familiarity with Martech tools
