Junior inside Sales Representative

The Junior Inside Sales Representative plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Business Development through a blend of pre-sales, post-sales, and administrative activities. Acting as an extension of the BD function, this individual helps ensure both the sales process and back-office operations run smoothly and efficiently contributing directly to revenue growth, client satisfaction, and overall operational effectiveness.
Serving as a central liaison between clients, internal departments, and the Director of BD, this role functions within a collaborative, one-team approach. It is instrumental in achieving annual business targets by helping to accelerate the sales cycle, improve response times, and maintain consistent engagement with both clients and internal team members. A key focus includes supporting new business acquisition, driving revenue generation, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.

What you'll do:
Duties may include the following:
Inbound Lead Management and Sales
- Assist with customer application forms, proposal setup, generation, and routing for internal approvals.
- Gather required client information to support proposal development and technical review. Prepare proposals and collaborate with technical teams to obtain final approvals.
- Support client prospecting and lead follow-up activities in coordination with the Director, Business Development.
- Respond to client inquiries and assist in compiling relevant documentation and RFP materials.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the sales process flows efficiently, including managing internal approvals and setup procedures.
- Follow up with leads and customers to ensure timely responses and close deals.
Sales Process:
- Maintain and update internal sales databases; assist in managing the CRM platform to ensure the accuracy of the sales pipeline and track proposal values.
- Monitor and manage sales pipelines to ensure follow-ups and sales are appropriately tracked and prioritized.
- Support the sales process alongside the Director, BD—including solution development and proposal delivery—acting as a right-hand partner in client and internal interactions.
- Send out welcome packages as part of the client onboarding process.
- Collect and process credit applications in collaboration with the credit team for timely approvals. Gather transfer files and support the client onboarding workflow for new clients.
- Work closely with the scheduler on client-related inquiries, including audit date inquiries, and assist in drafting and issuing contract addendums for service scope changes or additions.
Contribute to Team Sales Targets
- Contribute to regional sales initiatives and territory growth strategies by supporting prospecting campaigns and outreach. Work closely with the Director of BD to align with the sales strategy and prospecting plan under a one-team approach.
- Perform general sales administrative and sales support duties contributing to sales growth and operational efficiency with a one-team approach to meet annual targets.
- Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a results-driven mindset focused on achieving sales goals and delivering excellent customer experiences.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Participate in client calls and meetings, provide administrative support, and assist with follow-up on action items, where necessary.
- Maintain ongoing communication with existing clients to foster relationships, identify new opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.
CRM Data Management:
- Accurately enter and update lead and client information into the CRM system, tracking all sales activities, communications, and pipeline progress.
Monitor and manage sales pipelines to ensure follow-ups and sales are appropriately tracked and prioritized.
Other Duties as Required:
Perform additional duties as needed to support the sales team, contribute to business growth, and achieve team targets.
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Team-oriented with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
- Familiarity with the sales process, from lead generation through closing deals is a plus.
- Experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry is a plus.
