What are we looking for?

This Technician II - Chemical position is responsible for Refrigerant Testing per AHRI 700 and similar test methods.

What you'll do:

Listed examples are illustrative and representative of the tasks required of this position and are not intended to be complete or exclusive.

  • Performs numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas. 
  • Responsible for equipment calibration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
  • Cleans glassware and test equipment.   
  • Records data on appropriate data sheets and reports data.
  • Assists with establishing new and/or specialized testing procedures, including written methods and ISO documentation.
  • Responsible for inventory on reagents, dates on bottles and CofAs on file.
  • Participate in training program as a trainer in area of specialty.
  • Responsible for complying with safety, quality and housekeeping requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories.
  • Preparing calibration gases for internal and external use.
  • Assist with preparation of samples for standardized testing.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED.  
  • Microsoft Office software proficiency, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to regularly lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to think outside of the box 
  • Ability to work in high volume, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience as an Intertek Technician I - Chemical
