Position Title: Accountant
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am -4:30pm
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000
Benefits: Comprehensive Salary and Benefit Package
The Accountant is responsible for the financial management, reporting, and compliance functions within the District's Business Office. This role includes maintaining accurate financial records, managing grant funding, assisting with audits, and ensuring fiscal accountability across various district funds. The Accountant supports strategic financial planning, monitors grant activities, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Minimum Qualifications-
Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in general accounting; experience in a public school setting is preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and Google Suite; experience with RESA SMART system is preferred.

Familiarity with State and Federal systems such as MEGS+, NEXSYS, and SAM.GOV is desirable.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in accordance with District policies and procedures.
