Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (Direct Hire)
Location: Paris, Kentucky (Onsite with potential for 1 remote day per week)
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Paris, KY. This direct hire position requires ownership of the full accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, vendor communications, and support during month-end and year-end close.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain vendor records and documentation

  • Review, match, batch, and code invoices accurately

  • Verify invoice approvals and assign proper G/L account codes

  • Process weekly check runs and issue vendor payments

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies

  • Maintain organized AP files including open, closed, and archived records

  • Support fixed asset documentation and petty cash management

  • Respond promptly to emails, calls, and internal requests

  • Follow company policies and accounting procedures

  • Identify and recommend improvements in AP processes

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Accounts payable experience preferred; general accounting background accepted

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
