Now Hiring: Accounts Receivable (AR) Associate 
Location: Honolulu, HI
Contract-to-Hire | Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $25/hour

Please Note: This position is 100% onsite and we are only considering candidates who are currently living on Oahu. Out-of-state applicants will not be considered.

Kelly Services is excited to be recruiting for our client in Honolulu for an entry-level Accounts Receivable (AR) Associate 1. This contract-to-hire role is perfect for someone seeking to launch their career in finance and administration and who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to employees, customers, clients, and vendors by greeting and assisting in a friendly manner.
  • Apply payments (checks, cash, credit cards), process AR refunds, and handle various clearings such as credit memos, settlements, claims, debit memos, and trade management.
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate customer deductions in a timely manner.
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, or irregularities.
  • Maintain and update accurate customer master information (addresses, licenses, etc.).
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, or in person.
  • Issue invoices and credit memos as needed; send statements and invoices to outstanding customers.
  • Prepare bank deposits and serve as liaison between sales and clients.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as printing and filing documents, and sending documentation for collections upon request.
  • Collaborate with the corporate accounting department to ensure accurate and timely handling of accounting matters.
  • Prepare AR-related reports and handle Electric Data Interchange (EDI) tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with general office operations and accounts receivable.
  • Accurate data entry and keyboarding at a moderate speed.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Good math skills and attention to numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with calculators and standard office tools.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively (verbally and in writing).
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and reconciling abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to speak, write, and read English.
  • Local to Oahu (no out-of-state candidates will be considered).
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or office administration is preferred but not required.
  • Background check and drug test required.
