We're seeking an Advanced Composite Technician I to work with Gulfstream Aerospace, one of the world's most respected leaders in business aviation, in Savannah, Georgia.

What's a typical day as an Advanced Composite Technician I?

You'll be:

  • Producing composite aircraft parts in accordance with blueprints, work orders, and operation sheets.

  • Inspecting assemblies to ensure all components are defect-free and meet Gulfstream's strict quality standards.

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, lofts, and sketches to determine the proper sequence of operations.

  • Maintaining accurate production records and documentation (MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.).

  • Operating tools and equipment related to composite lay-up, trimming, and assembly.

  • Supporting Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and FOD prevention initiatives.

  • Keeping the work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety procedures.

  • Performing additional duties as assigned in support of production goals.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • A High School Diploma or GED (required).

  • At least one (1) year of related composite experience.

  • Ability to work with composite resins, materials, and hand tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use a 6-inch scale.

  • Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Forklift and overhead crane experience (required).

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Employment Type: 12-month contract (potential for permanent placement based on performance)

  • Shift: Weekend Day Shift – Friday to Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM

  • Pay Rate: $21.21 per hour
