Description

Kelly Services is hiring an AR Credit and Collections Specialist to work with Signode, a global leader in transit-packaging solutions, Roselle, IL 60172. This is a 3-month contract role with potential for temp-to-hire.

In this role, you will support credit and collections processes, mitigate credit risk, and help ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.

Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract: 3 months – possible temp-to-hire
Location: Roselle, IL 60172

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily collection calls to customers and sales representatives.

  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding account status, discrepancies, and payments.

  • Reconcile activity for a portfolio of accounts, including National, High Profile, or Specialty accounts.

  • Notify sales personnel of problem accounts, blocked orders, and reconciliation issues (short pays, short ships, tax issues).

  • Run aging and other reports; resolve issues in accounts, including unapplied cash, short pay, and aged items over 180 days.

  • Provide weekly/monthly updates to management on collections and account status.

  • Perform daily account reconciliations, including analyzing offsets, write-off requests, and confirming payment application.

  • Identify and manage credit risk; evaluate financial statements, D&B reports, and references to assign appropriate credit limits.

  • Maintain credit exposure and request additional information as needed to comply with company credit policies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following company credit policies.

  • Effective communication skills for interfacing with customers, sales teams, and management.

  • Credit check required for this role.
