Assembler 1- Conformal Coat
The Assembler 1- Conformal Coat is responsible for performing subassembly, assembly and all conformal coat paint processes on a variety of electronic, pneumatic and mechanical assemblies, working from engineering drawings and work instructions for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. Reports to the Production Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Apply masking tape to all specified areas according to masking procedures and visual aide
instructions.
• Verify integrity of taping requirements to be applied to PCBs.
• Accurately inspect the condition of incoming product.
• Identify and report defective masked areas to Group Leader.
• Inspect own work to ensure placement accuracy and completeness of work performed.
• Operate conformal coat automated machinery as part of the assembly process.
• Apply conformal coat repairs on PCBs as needed.
• Perform stripping, conformal coat, masking, touch-up and bonding requirements on repair and
overhaul units.
• De-mask and inspect boards following the coating process for any defects and touch up as
required.
• Use calibrated equipment and machinery as part of the assembly process.
• Maintain accurate documentation on re-work, repairs and modifications.
• Bake circuit board assemblies and restock supplies as needed.
• Assist with testing and NPI (new product introduction) as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve department related issues.
• Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures.
• Maintain ESD integrity within production environment.
• Responsible for the accuracy of work-in process associated with work cell.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding work space.
• Participate in Quality team meetings, as required.
• May train other employees.
• Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 + years of experience in coating application/manual spray environment preferred.
• Manual spray and respirator certification preferred
• IPC-A-610 Certified.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC Standards.
• ESD Training.
• Ability to use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to interpret print, schematics and diagrams.
• Basic computer, problem solving, delegation and workstation skills.
• Experience with high-volume work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
• US Person as defined in 22 CRF Part 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees and those given asylum in the United States, and temporary residents granted amnesty) since work includes ITAR controlled technical data.
