Job Title: Assembly Specialist – Assistant Operator (C Shift)
Location: Statesville, NC 
Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 7:45 AM – 8:00 PM ($16/hour)

  • 2nd Shift: 7:45 PM – 8:00 AM ($18/hour)

  • Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating schedule (Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, then rotate)

  • Pay: Weekly pay – Every Friday!

About the Role:
Yanjan is seeking dedicated and safety-conscious Assembly Specialists to join our team as Assistant Operators on C Shift. In this hands-on role, you will support machine operations and material handling to ensure efficient and accurate production processes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical work and want to grow within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut open and empty 55 lb (25 kg) resin bags into mixers using a breakaway knife.

  • Assist in lifting resin bags from pallets next to the machine (this process will become automated in the future).

  • Support machine operators during machine startups.

  • Perform vacuum filter changes as needed.

  • Transport rolls from the machine to the packing line (rolls weigh up to 50 lbs).

  • Feed edge trim from rolls into the waste hopper.

  • Enter weights and measurements into the computer system; general data entry.

  • Weigh scrap materials and measure rolls for documentation.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and follow proper sanitation procedures.

Required PPE and Dress Code:

  • Safety glasses and hearing protection (provided by the company).

  • Slip-resistant, steel/composite toe safety shoes are required.

  • Acceptable attire: jeans and t-shirts. Clothing must be clean and appropriately fitted for safety.

  • No jewelry allowed. Please refer to our additional policy on shorts.

Work Environment Policies:

  • Tobacco-Free/Smoke-Free Campus: Yanjan maintains a 100% smoke- and tobacco-free campus. Smoking or tobacco use is not permitted on the property, and employees may not leave the premises to smoke during work hours.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly.

  • Comfortable with physical labor and standing for extended periods.

  • Basic computer skills for data entry.

  • Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation is a plus but not required.
