What You'll Do: As an Assembly Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting production. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling and inspecting braking system components (e.g., cam brakes, ASA) using required tools, gauges, and equipment
- Picking parts, following a kitting manual, and creating kits for the production areas in the plant
- Maintaining inventory integrity with daily cycle counts and keeping detailed records
- Monitoring quality and making necessary adjustments to keep products within specifications.
- Maintaining a clean, organized work area and ensuring all equipment is safely locked out when not in use
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle automotive components of various sizes
- Dependability, punctuality, a positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential
- Commitment to workplace safety and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment
Physical Demands:
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, reach, and handle objects
- Close vision and focus adjustment required
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in resolving production issues
