Join our dynamic team as an Associate Manager in Accounting, where you will play a critical role in managing and reviewing the full month-end close process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee key transactions as our company expands into new product lines and regions. You will lead process improvements to integrate accounting procedures with our financial systems, collaborating across multiple departments including Financial Planning & Analysis, tax, and operations. Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: Irvine, CA
- Pay Rate: $92.85 / hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Hybrid work schedule two days in office, 3 from home)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze the full month-end close cycle and reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Own the full cash accounting cycle, including intercompany transactions and cash reconciliations.
- Collaborate with teams across multiple levels to enhance month-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting principles and practices.
- Build scalable accounting and operational processes, including ERP system integration.
- Maintain a 2-day close cycle in line with parent company requirements.
- Conduct variance analysis to support business partners and the FP&A team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with some management experience.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with US GAAP.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with large data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- CPA preferred; advanced degrees such as a Master's in Accounting or MBA are a plus.
- Experience in the medical device industry and familiarity with financial systems like NetSuite or Adaptive/Office Connect is preferred.
