Job Title: Bilingual Purchasing & Inventory Control Specialist

Location: Angleton, TX (On-site)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual Purchasing & Inventory Control Specialist to manage our end-to-end supply chain activities. In this dual-focus role, you will be responsible for sourcing industrial materials, negotiating with vendors, and maintaining 100% inventory accuracy in our Angleton facility. As a bilingual professional, you will serve as a key communicator between our English-speaking operations and Spanish-speaking vendors and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Procurement

  • Research, source, and negotiate pricing with vendors for raw materials, shop supplies, and specialized equipment.

  • Generate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) from requisition to delivery.

  • Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, lead times, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Reconcile invoices with POs and packing slips to ensure billing accuracy.

Inventory Control & Warehouse Management

  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain record integrity.

  • Utilize ERP/CMMS software to track stock levels, set reorder points, and reduce "dead stock."

  • Oversee the receiving process, inspecting incoming materials for defects or discrepancies.

  • Organize and optimize warehouse storage layout to improve picking efficiency and safety.

Bilingual Communication

  • Act as a translator and liaison for Spanish-speaking vendors and workforce.

  • Translate technical documentation or safety guidelines as required.

Required Qualifications
  • Language: Fluent in English and Spanish (Written and Verbal) is required.

  • Experience: 3+ years in Purchasing, Inventory Control, or Warehouse Management (Industrial/Construction background preferred).

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

  • Compliance: Strong understanding of OSHA warehouse safety standards.

  • Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift (certification preferred or must be obtained within 30 days).
