Temporary Accounts Receivable - Billing and Collections role

Job Description: Accounts Receivable & Revenue Specialist

Contract 3-6 months

Pay rate: $24/hr.

Hours: 7a - 4p

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 100% onsite - standard 1st shift hours

Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable & Revenue Specialist plays a key role in managing the organization's receivables and revenue processes. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and effective reconciliation of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue customer invoices, process refunds, and make necessary adjustments to accounts.

  • Manage incoming cash receipts and reconcile daily credit card deposits.

  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Collaborate with global partners to record and collect royalty revenue.

  • Support month-end closing activities, including:
    - Bank reconciliations
    - Revenue and expense reconciliations
    - Sales tax reconciliations

  • Generate financial reports and perform ad hoc analysis as needed.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Accounting department and other internal teams.

  • Identify and recommend improvements to revenue-related processes and workflows.

  • Work independently while contributing effectively to cross-functional teams.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Sage Intacct or similar ERP System

  • Proficient in Accounts receivable (invoicing/ Billing/ Collections)

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Some college education preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Prior experience in accounts receivable and collections is required.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with data entry and financial analysis preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
