Non CDL Delivery Driver

4 Direct Hire Opportunities in the Atlanta area
Work for  a large food distribution company in the 30336 zip code
Work hours are 7am-330pm, Monday - Friday with occasional overtime
Starting salary is $22.50+/yr plus benefits

The Driver safely and efficiently operates a box truck and unloads and delivers products (dry, refrigerated, and frozen foods and food service supplies) to customer locations on a set route schedule. They create relationships with each customer and are critical to a reputation as a customer-service driven company. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 
The Driver does the following. 
1. Drives a reefer box truck to deliver high-quality food products to customers, primarily in the hospitality and food-service industries 
2. Tracks delivery progress and reports issues in real time via routing software deployed on a mobile phone or tablet
3. Answers phone correspondence in a timely manner to efficiently communicate with dispatch and management 
4. Loads, unloads, and stacks products for customers 
5. Provides excellent customer service while checking in orders and collecting payment from customers upon delivery 
6. Performs daily vehicle checks for roadworthiness and maintenance issues 
7. Undergoes safe-driving training; performs safety inspections; prepare safety and post-incident reports as needed 
8. Complies with DOT regulations and traffic laws 
9. Maintains a positive MVR score for the duration of employment 
10. Contributes to the team by performing other work as necessary 

QUALIFICATIONS 
? Able to pass a criminal background check 
? No reckless or DUI/DWI tickets 
? Clean driving record with good/positive points based on driver location 
? DOT physical card preferred
? Box truck route delivery driving experience (1-2 years minimum) 
? Strong attention to detail and solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 
Lifting to 50 pounds
? Capable of working well as a member of a team and with minimal supervision 
? Bilingual communications skills (English and Spanish) preferred
