A Kelly Engineering client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team, focused on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in data center infrastructure and enterprise IT markets. This role is responsible for driving growth through strategic partnerships and a mix of direct and indirect product sales for the Southeast market.
Education and experience
- 3–10 years of experience in business development or sales focused on data center or enterprise IT infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including optical and copper cabling solutions
- Direct data center and enterprise product portfolios experience
- Skilled at translating complex technical solutions into clear business value for clients
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Duties/Responsibilities
- Drive market development by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Data Center market and Passive Optical LAN (POL) solutions for large enterprises, including financial institutions, hospitals, and universities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with enterprise clients, channel partners, and resellers
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with overall company objectives
- Prepare compelling commercial proposals, lead contract negotiations, and manage the end-to-end sales cycle from initial lead through deal closure
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams, marketing, partners, and channel sales to address customer requirements and accelerate deal progression
Travel: Expected to be up to 50%
Pay: Base salary + Sales Incentive Plan
